About the tour
On this coffee and chocolate tour in La Fortuna, a certified local guide walks you through a coffee plantation and a cacao station to show how beans and pods become the flavors Costa Rica is known for. You take part in a hands-on workshop and finish with coffee and chocolate tastings. Tours run daily from 8:00 am, with pickup near downtown La Fortuna.
Your journey begins with a walk through coffee plantations, where you’ll learn about growing, harvesting and roasting beans. As your guide explains each step of the process, you’ll enjoy tastings that highlight the aroma, flavor and body of Costa Rican coffee.
The second part of the Coffee Chocolate Tour La Fortuna focuses on chocolate. From cracking cacao pods to grinding roasted beans, you’ll participate in a workshop that brings every step of traditional chocolate-making to life. Taste raw cacao, melted chocolate and artisanal blends while discovering the cultural and ecological importance of cacao in Costa Rica.
